THE SERVICE CLUB OF CHICAGO

We have supported hundreds of different charitable, educational and civic organizations of all sizes and missions since 1890. The thoroughness with which Service Club investigates requests and allocates its funds has earned continued respect among the philanthropic community.

Service Club awards are made under the direction of our Philanthropic Committee, which methodically investigates each agency that has submitted a grant request. We couple intensive review of each request with on-site visits by members of the Philanthropic Committee, enabling us to judge, first hand, how the request fits into the agency's overall program.

The Committee seeks to fund projects that provide a maximum impact on well identified areas of need. Service Club's unique program ensures that grant awards are wholly used as intended, by directly paying all bills for the approved projects it supports, rather than distributing cash payments to recipients.
